Bowie State Search Committee to hold Open Meeting on October 25
The Bowie State University Presidential Search and Screening Committee
will hold its second campuswide meeting on Monday, October 25. The meeting
will be held on the campus, located at 14000 Jericho Park Road, in Room
102 of the Wiseman Centre. It will begin at 4 PM and is expected
to end by 6:30 PM.
Monday's forum will provide another opportunity for faculty, staff,
students, and others to offer their thoughts on the qualities and qualifications
that would be desirable in the university's next president.
The Search and Screening Committee was appointed by USM Chancellor Donald
N. Langenberg. Walter Jewell Leonard, the Wilson H. Elkins Visiting Professor
at Bowie State, is the chairman. The committee has retained the firm of
A.T. Kearney, Inc. to assist in the national search for the university's
ninth president.
