USM Board of Regents and Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life Meet Feb. 15
Adelphi, Md. (Feb. 12, 2013) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will hold its next meeting on Friday, February 15. The public meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Before the start of that meeting, the Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life will convene publicly at 8:10 a.m. to vote on whether to reconvene briefly in closed session.
Both meetings will take place on the seventh floor of the Albin O. Kuhn Library on the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

When the full Board of Regents begins its public meeting, it will vote on the approval of several new proposed academic programs. It also will receive a presentation on how the USM is working to stimulate entrepreneurship and innovation throughout the system. Included in the agenda is an informational report on USM's implementation of policies to improve the status of graduate assistants and adjunct faculty.
Reports will be presented from the councils of university system presidents, faculty, staff and students. At the end of the meeting, the board will vote on whether to meet in executive session.
