USM Board of Regents Committee on Audit to Meet June 14

Adelphi, Md. (June 13, 2013) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Audit at its next meeting will vote publicly on whether to reconvene in closed, executive session. The vote will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 14, in the Chancellor's Conference Room of the University System of Maryland headquarters (Elkins Building). The address is 3300 Metzerott Road, Adelphi, MD.

The audit committee regularly discusses personnel matters that may or may not result in personnel action and/or the loss of reputation of individuals; audit and investigative activities that may result in personnel action and/or possible criminal conduct; consult with counsel on legal matters; and consult with staff, consultants and other individuals on potential litigation. These all fall within the proper guidelines of the Maryland Open Meetings Act for holding meetings in closed session.
