Kirwan anticipates that the search process will be completed within six months. The committee's work will conclude with its recommendation of finalists for consideration by the chancellor and the USM Board of Regents. The board will make the final selection.

"President Bogomolny has left a legacy that will make a strong, positive difference in the years ahead both for the University of Baltimore and in the city of Baltimore itself," Kirwan said. "I am very pleased with the breadth of experience of the search committee members and their dedicated commitment to the university."
