Adelphi, Md. (March 4, 2016) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life at its next meeting will vote on a new academic program at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) and hear several information items, including a report on all-time high six-year graduation rates for first-time, full-time USM freshmen.

The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 8 in Ballroom A of the Student Center at Bowie State University. The campus address is 14000 Jericho Park Road, Bowie, MD.

The new academic program at UMCP is an M.S. in business analytics. The information items include an Overview of Undergraduate Enrollment, Persistence, and Success at the USM. The USM is producing a six-year graduation rate of nearly seven graduates for every 10 who enter as new freshmen. The overview also will offer updates on the USM institutional SAT profile, retention rates, and transfer students.

The meeting will include a discussion anchored by several campus vice presidents for student affairs regarding diversity and inclusion in students' lives outside the classroom. An update will be heard from the William E. Kirwan Center for Academic Innovation. The full agenda and supporting materials are available here.
