USM Regents Committee on Finance Meets November 16 at Universities at Shady Grove

Adelphi, Md. (Nov. 14, 2017) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Finance will meet on Thursday, Nov. 16, beginning with a public vote at 10:00 a.m. on whether to reconvene in closed session. The meeting will take place in Room 2230 of the Camille Kendall Academic Center (Building III) of the Universities at Shady Grove (USG), 9640 Gudelsky Drive in Rockville, Md.

In closed session, the committee would discuss an item that falls under closing guidelines of the Open Meetings Act. The reason for closing is to maintain confidentiality of discussions of a potential property acquisition prior to approval of the full board.

The committee will reconvene in public session at approximately 10:15 a.m. and hear information items on the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) facilities master plan update and the USM opening fall 2017 enrollment report.

The committee will vote on the assignment of a lease assignment from Mercyhurst University for the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force that is operating within the University of Baltimore College of Public Affairs and an extension of that lease through Dec. 31, 2021. Other action items are a property lease at UMCP and a title transfer of a Maryland Economic Development Corporation property to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

The full agenda and supporting materials are available here. Driving directions to USG are here.
