New Academic Programs, Fall 2007 Enrollments on Education Policy Committee Agenda, Nov. 13

ADELPHI, Md. (November 8, 2007) - The Committee on Education Policy of the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will meet Tuesday, November 13, 2007, at University of Maryland University College (UMUC). The public meeting will convene at 9:30 a.m. in Rooms 2100-2102 of the UMUC Inn and Conference Center, 3501University Boulevard East, Adelphi, Maryland.

Action items before the committee include

  • New academic program proposals for a B.S. in sports management at Bowie State University, M.S. in kinesiology at Towson University, and Doctor of Pharmacy at University of Maryland Eastern Shore;
  • USM endorsement of the goals of the NASH (National Association of System Heads) Access and Success Initiative.

In addition, the committee will receive reports on the status of the system-wide marine, estuarine, and environmental science (MEES) program; University of Maryland, College Park's Middle States Accreditation; USM faculty workload; and opening Fall 2007 enrollments and FY 2008 estimated FTE (full-time equivalents).
