Dr. Michelle A. Gourdine is a physician, author, speaker, health policy expert, and CEO of Michelle Gourdine & Associates, an award-winning population health consulting firm that develops education and policy strategies to improve the health and well-being of women, people of color, and the under-served. Michelle Gourdine and Associates� mission is to create a health care system in which all people benefit equally.

A graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Dr. Gourdine is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and Senior Associate faculty at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is the former Deputy Secretary of Health for the state of Maryland, and former Health Commissioner for Baltimore County Maryland. Dr. Gourdine is the author of Reclaiming Our Health: A Guide to African American Wellness (published by Yale University Press), and is a sought-after expert and speaker whose advice and book have been highlighted in national publications including the New York Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, USA Today and Essence Magazine.
