The Quality
Matters(TM) Project is designed to improve the quality of online courses by
establishing a peer-review quality assurance process. This training will explore the Quality
Matters(TM) Project and rubric and will provide you with the framework to improve
the quality of your online course.
Participants in this hands-on workshop will use the Quality Matters(TM)
rubric to review their online course, and to identify strong areas of their
course and generate ideas for improvements in other areas. In addition, participants will develop a
course improvement plan that includes an articulation the course modifications
the faculty member wishes to make, the resources and support needed to make
these modifications, and a timeline for making these modifications. This session will be of interest to faculty, staff,
and instructional designers, who have already developed an online course. ( As
the basis for their work in this training session, participants will be asked
to select and bring one of their previously-developed online courses to the
training.)
