Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy to Consider Academic Program Proposals

ADELPHI, Md. (September 8, 2005) - The Committee on Education Policy of the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will consider proposals for three academic programs at its next meeting. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:30 am Wednesday, September 14, in the Albin O. Kuhn Library, University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Committee members will review proposals for the following programs:

Also on the agenda as a discussion item is the role of the Board of Regents in the Middle States Commission on Higher Education accreditation process. John H.Erickson, deputy executive director of the commission, will give a presentation on this topic. Six USM institutions are undergoing regional accreditation review by the commission this year.
