USM Regents Committee on Effectiveness and Efficiency Meets Nov. 14

Adelphi, Md. (Nov. 10, 2011) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Effectiveness and Efficiency at its next meeting will vote on a proposed revision to USM "dashboard indicators" and a proposed policy on the role of the USM as a public corporation.

The public meeting will begin at 12:00 noon on Monday, November 14 in Room 210 of the Talon Center at Coppin State University, 2500 W. North Avenue, Baltimore, MD. The committee will immediately announce a motion to reconvene in closed session, before resuming its public meeting.

The USM dashboard indicators -- critical academic, admissions, budgetary and other leading indicators of USM initiatives -- give the board a "snapshot" view of the whole of USM operations, including operations of the individual USM institutions. The approval of the 2020 Strategic Plan requires a revision of current dashboards to align with the new plan.

The purpose of developing a policy on USM's role as a public corporation is to articulate a systematic plan for enhancing the USM's capacity, under statutory tools currently provided by the General Assembly, to help foster economic development in Maryland.

Parking is available in Lot G, adjacent to the Talon Center. For driving directions to Coppin State University and a campus map, click http://www.coppin.edu/CapitalPlanning/CSUCampusMap10.pdf.
