USM Regents Committee on Economic Development and Technology Commercialization Meets Dec. 1

Adelphi, Md. (Nov. 23, 2011) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Economic Development and Technology Commercialization will meet in public session at 4 p.m. on Thursday, December 1.

The meeting will be held in the Board Room, 14th floor of the Saratoga Building at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. The building is located at 220 North Arch Street, Baltimore, MD.

The committee will discuss approaches for conducting an economic impact study for the USM and tracking the formation of new companies and associated jobs. In addition, the committee will explore an initiative to enhance technology transfer commercialization and review progress on the Report of the Cyber Security Task Force.

The meeting was rescheduled from its initial date of November 17. After the public meeting, the committee will meet in executive session. The agenda and supporting materials are available at http://www.usmd.edu/regents/agendas/.
