USM Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life Meets June 3

Adelphi, Md. (May 30, 2014) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life at its next meeting will vote on five new academic programs and the Annual Progress Reports on Institutional Programs of Cultural Diversity.

The public meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, on the seventh floor of the Albin O. Kuhn Library on the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

The committee also will vote on the 2014 Mission Statement Reviews from each USM institution and hear several information items, including a report on the Governor's P-20 Leadership Task Force on Teacher Education and a proposed policy on sexual misconduct.

As a final agenda item, the committee will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to review aspects of the Intercollegiate Athletics Report that contain confidential information concerning student academic records.
