USM Board of Regents to Hold Special Meeting October 25 via Conference Call
Adelphi, Md. (Oct. 23, 2018) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will hold a special meeting at 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, via conference call.The board will vote publicly via conference call at the USM Baltimore headquarters building in the Columbus Center, located at 701 E. Pratt Street, Baltimore, Md., on whether to reconvene its meeting via conference call in closed session. The closed session would follow Open Meetings Act exceptions regarding advice from legal counsel, discussion of potential or pending litigation, and discussion of personnel matters.
The board will continue its discussion of the results of the independent commission investigation into the culture of the football program at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP). The discussion will occur in closed session. No media availabilities or statements are expected during or following the Thursday meeting.
