USM Board of Regents to Hold Special Meeting on January 8
Baltimore, Md. (Jan. 4, 2019) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will hold a special meeting at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8.The public meeting will take place at the USM Office in Adelphi, MD. The address is 3300 Metzerott Road, Adelphi MD. Regents will participate by conference call. Members of the public can listen to the public meeting conference call in the Chancellor’s conference room.
During the public session, there will be an update on communications efforts at the USM Office. The board then will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss items exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act. The reasons for closing are to maintain confidentiality of attorney-client communications concerning pending litigation; to handle an administrative matter concerning succession planning for presidencies at the University of Maryland, College Park and Coppin State University; and to maintain confidentiality of discussion regarding specific personnel.
