USM Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life Meets September 6

Baltimore, Md. (Sept. 4, 2019) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life will hold its next scheduled meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, September 6. The meeting will be held in Ballroom A (4th Floor) of the West Village Commons at Towson University.

The committee will vote on two academic program proposals, both from Salisbury University: a B.S. in data science and a B.A. in outdoor education leadership.

Information items before the committee include a report on academic program decisions delegated to the Chancellor during Academic Year 2018-19, a tentative agenda for the current academic year, and notification of awards for the USM Regents Scholars Program, Donald Langenberg Lecture, and Wilson H. Elkins Professorship.

As the final public session item, the committee will vote on whether to reconvene to discuss an item exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act. The item concerns an out-of-cycle nomination for an honorary degree.
