USM Board of Regents Meets November 22
Baltimore, Md. (Nov. 20, 2019) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents (BOR) will hold a regularly scheduled meeting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, November 22. The meeting will be held in Building II (Bethesda/Gaithersburg Ballrooms) at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG), 9640 Gudelsky Drive, Rockville, Md.The public session will be live streamed to the public at the following link:

Maryland Higher Education (MHEC) Secretary James Fielder will be the featured speaker for the educational forum, “USM and MHEC: Cooperation and Challenges in Higher Education.”
The board will vote on several action items recommended for approval by board committees. These items include new degree programs at the University of Baltimore and the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP); UMCP Foundation, Inc. Right of Entry for Construction of the Basketball Performance Center; and replacement of videoboards and associated obsolete control equipment at UMCP’s Maryland Stadium. The regents will hear reports from the councils of university system presidents, faculty, staff and students. At the end of the public meeting, the board will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss items that fall under categories exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act. These items include various personnel matters, discussions regarding employee compensation, and legal matters.
