USM Board of Regents to Hold Special Meeting 5 p.m. Today via Conference Call

In public session, the board will hear remarks from USM Chancellor Jay A. Perman. The board then will vote on whether to reconvene its meeting via conference call in closed session.
The reasons for closing are to consult with legal counsel to obtain advice regarding legislative mandates and executive orders associated with various aspects of the COVID-19 response; and to handle administrative matters regarding an assessment of financial impact related to the COVID-19 response and strategies for USM communications with internal and external stakeholders.
