Two USM Board of Regents Committees to Meet on May 13
Baltimore, Md. (May 11, 2020) – Two committees of the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will meet on Wednesday, May 13.The Committee on Advancement will meet at 11 a.m. Access to the meeting is via the following dial-in information:

In public session, the committee will discuss year-to-date fundraising efforts and COVID-19 impact on advancement efforts. The committee then will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss items exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act. The items concern two campuses’ requests to name facilities or programs after individuals.
The Committee on Governance & Compensation will meet in public session at 1 p.m. Access to the meeting is via the following dial-in information:

The committee will vote on revisions to the Board of Regents Policy on Multi-Year Review of Presidents and technical changes to two other personnel/human resources policies.
The committee then will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss items exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act.
The reasons for closing are to maintain confidentiality regarding collective bargaining negotiations, specific employment agreements, and performance evaluations of individual personnel.
