USM Board of Regents Committee on Audit Meets June 4
Baltimore, Md. (June 2, 2021) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Audit will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 4.Access to the public session is via the following dial-in information:

In public session, the committee will discuss several information items. These include fiscal year (FY) 2021 Committee on Audit objectives and the CliftonLarsenAllen LLP approach for the FY 2021 independent audit. The committee will vote on proposed modifications to the board policy on affiliated foundations.
The committee will hear an update on Office of Legislative Audit activity and discuss the calendar year 2020 financial disclosure compliance for presidents, the chancellor, and members of the Board of Regents.
The committee then will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session. In closed session, the committee would consider issues exempted in the Open Meetings Act from the requirement for public consideration.
Those issues include IT security matters that pose vulnerabilities; legislative audit matters that are ongoing and, therefore, confidential; a discussion of investigative matters that may lead to criminal prosecution; the calendar year 2021 internal audit plan update; and the committee’s meeting separately with the independent auditors and the USM director of internal audit.
