USM Board of Regents Committee on Audit Meets October 25
Baltimore, Md. (Oct. 22, 2021) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Audit will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 25.Access to the public session is via the following dial-in information:

In public session, the committee will discuss several information items. These include the fiscal year (FY) 2021 Committee on Audit Work Plan and a review of Board of Regents Charge Policies for the committee’s charter and bylaws. The committee will be updated regarding system-wide draft financials, balance sheet, and statement of changes. The committee also will hear the USM year-end (June 30, 2020) A133 Single Audit Report, an update on USM’s implementation of its enterprise risk management programs, and an update on completed Office of Legislative Audit activity.
As its final item during the public session, the committee will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session. In closed session, the committee would consider issues exempted in the Open Meetings Act from the requirement for public consideration. Those issues include an update of USM’s IT security environment; ongoing Office of Legislative Audit Activity; ongoing potential criminal allegations and fraud hotline reports to Internal Audit; and the committee’s meeting separately with the independent auditors and the USM director of internal audit.
