USM Board of Regents Committee on Audit Meets October 21
Baltimore, Md. (Oct. 20, 2022) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Audit will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 21.Access to the public session is via the following dial-in information:

In public session, the committee will discuss several information items. These include the fiscal year (FY) 2022 audit committee work plan, review of the committee’s charter and bylaws, and a system-wide draft of financials, balance sheet, and statement of changes. The committee will vote on proposed modifications to the Board of Regents policy on unaffiliated foundations.
Other discussion items include updates on USM’s implementation of enterprise risk management programs and completed Office of Legislative Audit activity. As its final item during the public session, the committee will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session. In closed session, the committee would consider items exempted in the Open Meetings Act from the requirement for public consideration.
Those items include: an update of USM’s IT security environment; legislative audit matters that are ongoing and, therefore, confidential; an update of calendar year 2022 internal audit plan of activity; and the committee meeting separately with the independent auditors and the USM director of internal audit.
