USM Board of Regents Committee on Advancement Meets May 10
Baltimore, Md. (May 8, 2023) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Advancement will meet at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10.Access to the meeting is via the following dial-in information:

The committee will receive a year-to-date fundraising update and discuss the current board policy on alumni associations.
Two other information items are a quasi-endowment report for 2022 and a discussion of Senate Bill (SB) 426. SB 426 authorizes the board to establish a quasi-endowment fund to generate need-based financial aid for students.
The committee will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to consider items exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act. Those items are requests from three institutions to name a program or building after an individual.
