Adelphi, Md. (Nov. 3, 2009) - Way2GoMaryland, the University System of Maryland's (USM) campaign to encourage students and their families to begin preparing for college early, will hold an informational event Saturday, December 5, for 6th-through-10th-graders enrolled in schools and home-schooled on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. The formal program, including a question-and-answer panel with USM students regarding their own paths to college, will start at 10 a.m. Also joining the panel to answer questions from the audience is an admissions expert from a USM university.

Immediately following the formal session, participants will move to the Caroline College Center on the campus for a college fair featuring admissions representatives from USM universities, the financial aid office of the Maryland Higher Education Commission, and the College Savings Plans of Maryland.

Attendees will be eligible to win door prizes and all will receive a free lunch, available until roughly 12:30 p.m.
