USM Office Unites to Support Maryland Book Bank
The University System of Maryland Office (USMO) is proud to support Maryland Unites, Governor Larry Hogan's initiative for state employees to offer their time and talents through community service.
As part of this effort, the USMO collected books to donate to the Maryland Book Bank, a Baltimore-based nonprofit that distributes free books to children, teachers, schools, and organizations in Maryland.
Throughout the month of October, USMO staff members were encouraged to donate gently used books, cash, and/or gift cards to book sellers (i.e. Barnes and Noble, Amazon, etc.).
The USMO sought to collect and donate 1,000 books to the Maryland Book Bank. It exceeded this goal, collecting 1,324 books.
