June 11th - Master Gardener Summer Workshops - Creating a Bay-Wise Rain Garden -  This workshop, which is free, and is sponsored by the University of Maryland Extension Washington County Master Gardeners, will be held from 6:30 - 8:00pm. The location is the Washington County Agricultural Education Center, at the University of Maryland Extension Office - Washington County, 7303 Sharpsburg Pike, Boonsboro, MD

Farmers' Market at Maryland - The market is located in front of Cole Field House, on the University of Maryland, College Park campus, and is open on Wednesdays from 11am - 3pm.

Summer 2013 Programs at the Horn Point Laboratory Environmental Science Education Center in Cambridge, MD - Directed by Professor Michael Roman, HPL is a member of the Southern Association of Marine Laboratories (SAML) and the National Association of Marine Laboratories (NAML). The Horn Point Laboratory is located on the banks of the Choptank River, a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Directions are here. (UMCES Horn Point Laboratory, June 2013)

June 10th - 12th - The Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA) will host its 2013 EDTA Conference & Annual Meeting. EDTA 2013 offers an unrivaled opportunity to explore informative workshops and sessions, see the industry spring into action with the Ride, Drive & Charge showcase, and explore the floor featuring top exhibitors unveiling their newest innovations to the electric drive industry.
