The Climate Innovation Alliance

The Climate Innovation Alliance (CIA) is an initiative that builds environmental and economic resiliency in greater Maryland amidst climate change by connecting the dots among existing organizations and activities. The CIA is a platform to spark greater collaboration and collective impact; it welcomes academic researchers, startups, economic developers, state agencies, private investors, private companies, public entities, and more.

The University System of Maryland (USM) Office of Research and Economic Development is glad to coordinate the Climate Innovation Alliance, which officially established in September 2024, with roots dating back to 2021 and the Bluetech Maryland initiative. USM is joined by other members, shown below.
