Creating, Adopting, and Using Open Educational Resources

Creating, Adopting, and Using Open Educational Resources

Tuesday, October 22, 2019 | F2F Workshop, Location TBA | 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (light refreshments will be served)

Facilitator: Karen Rege, Harford Community College

Description: In this hands-on workshop, participants will discover whether they want to adopt a commercial (or noncommercial) resource completely, adopt but edit and mix content, or create content from scratch.  They will explore which format works best for their courses, e.g., an open textbook, a printed or e-coursepack with both free and licensed content, a course management system-like format, a collection of digital videos, an e-book, or even something else altogether.  Participants will learn where to look for existing content and spend time working hands-on with online resources created to make their concepts a reality.
