Training Schedule for Workday Go Live

Welcome to the training schedule for our Workday implementation. As we embark on this journey to transition to Workday, it’s crucial that all staff and faculty are prepared to navigate and utilize the new system effectively from day one. Below, you will find the schedule for Instructor-Led Training (ILT) sessions and Learning Labs, designed to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge.

 

Training Roadmap

Key Information:

  • Registration Opens April 22 at 12:00 PM: Mark your calendars! Secure your spot in the sessions most relevant to your role by registering early.

  • Registration Process:

    • Registration Requirement: All participants must register to attend the training sessions. This ensures we can accommodate everyone and provide a comprehensive training experience. This will also help track your training attendance.
    • Zoom Confirmation: Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email from MD Connect, Maryland  Connect Training, or Zoom. This email will include the link to your training session and an option to add the training session to your calendar for convenience.

  • Training Details: For comprehensive information about each course, including descriptions and the specific security roles that should attend, please refer to our Instructor-Led Training and Learning Labs page. This resource will help you understand the focus of each session and its relevance to your role in Workday.

  • Understanding Your Training Pathway: To fully comprehend which training sessions you need to attend based on your assigned security role(s) in Workday, visit the Training Pathways by Role page. This page outlines the recommended training for each security role, ensuring you receive the training that is most pertinent to your responsibilities.

The training schedule listed below by date includes both ILTs and Learning Labs. These sessions are foundational for new users learning to use Workday. Engaging in these training opportunities is your first step towards mastering Workday and contributing to a successful implementation at our institution. Please note: the training schedule is subject to change until April 22, 2024.
