Barry P. Gossett is the retired Chairman and CEO of Baltimore-based Acton Mobile Industries, suppliers of mobile offices, construction trailers, and commercial modular buildings. He is the retired Chairman and CEO of Williams Scotsman, Inc. and past president of the Manufactured Housing Association and past chairman of the board of the Northeast Manufactured Housing Association. In June 2004, Mr. Gossett was appointed by Governor Robert Ehrlich to the State Prosecutor Selection and Disabilities Commission. He has served as a member of the Attorney Grievance Commission since 1980.

Mr. Gossett is a charter member of the Modular Building Institute, where he served on its board of directors from 1982 through 1986 and as president in 1985. He received the institutes first Outstanding Achievement Awards and is a member of the MBI Hall of Fame. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Gossett is the immediate past Chairman of the University System of Maryland Foundation, a member of the Board of Regents of the University System of Maryland, and serves on the Board of Rosedale Federal Saving and Loan Association, Sports Legends Museum, Executive Board of Baltimore Area Council Boy Scouts and Board of Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation.

Mr. Gossett is past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, for which he co-chairs Great Expectations, the Campaign for Maryland. He is also past Chairman of the Board of the Baltimore Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Gossett formerly served on the boards of the New Children�s Hospital (Baltimore), the Terrapin Club, and the Essex Community College Foundation.
