USM Minority Achievement Committee

The Minority Achievement Committee was initially responsible for preparing the proposed USM MINORITY ACHIEVEMENT PLAN 2001-2010. In 2001 The USM Board of Regents adopted the USM Systemwide Plan for Minority Achievement. The Academic Affairs Advisory Council (AAAC) charged the Minority Achievement Committee (MAC) as a standing committee to coordinate efforts embodied in that Plan. Campuses are given assistance in generating periodic institutional reports that not only measure progress, but also allow for mid-course corrections as best practices become apparent. AAAC appoints designees to MAC to coordinate campus reporting and implementation. As annual reports are reviewed, the Minority Achievement Committee suggests where corrective action should be taken and acknowledges where successful activities are underway.
