USM Regents Committee on Finance Meets August 20

 

Adelphi, Md. (Aug. 17, 2009) - The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Finance at its next meeting will take action on renovation improvements to the Burkshire Marriott Conference Hotel at Towson University and a proposed amendment to a policy on student classification for admission and tuition purposes.

The public meeting is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 20 in the Juan Ramon Jimenez Room, located on the second floor of the Adele H. Stamp Union at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP).

The proposed amendment regarding student classification for tuition purposes would exempt certain members of the Maryland National Guard who are not state residents from paying nonresident tuition.

The committee also will hear a presentation regarding the Towson University 2009 Facilities Master Plan Update.

Prior to the public meeting, the committee will convene in executive session at 10 a.m.
