Assistant Director, MEEC (800155)

The Maryland Education Enterprise Consortium (MEEC) invites applications and nominations for the Exempt Staff position of Assistant Director.

The Maryland Education Enterprise Consortium, hosted by the University System of Maryland, offers centrally coordinated and negotiated agreements for use by member organizations (K-20 public, private, federal institutions and libraries) to gain economic advantage and value in the acquisition of technology products and services that are benefits to the education enterprise. Additionally MEEC through its' vendors offers web and in person seminars that support the use and usability of procured technology. MEEC also hosts the annual MEEC Member Conference and Vendor Showcase.

The Assistant Director will be responsible for providing support to the Executive Director while managing multiple projects for the MEEC program. Projects include; RFP team management, data gathering and analysis, communications, event planning and execution, vendor relations and membership management.

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years' experience in an Education or Business environment. The successful candidate should have the ability to manage a complex operation, excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills. An ability to maintain poise, functions independently, effectively manage time, meet deadlines, and multitask. Experience in procurement is a plus.
