USM Board of Regents to Meet April 6 at UMBC 

The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will meet in regular public session on Friday, April 6 at 1 p.m. on the seventh floor of the Albin O. Kuhn Library at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

The Board will consider several agenda items, including:

  • Presentation of Regent's Faculty Awards to 12 faculty members from various USM institutions
  • USM enrollment projects for 2001-2010
  • Comparison data for USM institutions and their peers
  • USM policy on conduct, discipline, assistance and education for abuse of drugs and alcohol for exempt and non-exempt staff employees
  • Semi-annual report on the status of Salisbury State University's Ward Museum
  • Proposals for new academic programs, including B.A./B.S. in theatre and B.A./B.S. in dance, both from Frostburg State University, as well as others from other institutions that are awaiting consideration by the Regents' Committee on Education Policy
  • Modification of USM policy on the common academic calendar
  • Shared governance accountability plans
  • Follow-up on campus crime report, focusing on alcohol, drug and weapons violations
