Education Policy Committee to Meet September 18 at University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute

The Committee on Education Policy of the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will meet in public session on Wednesday, September 18 in the Multipurpose Room (Suite 236) of University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute's Christopher Columbus Center, 701 East Pratt St. in Baltimore. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m.

The committee will consider several agenda items, including:

  • New program proposals, including a post-baccalaureate certificate in women's studies from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County; a post-baccalaureate certificate in family studies from Towson University; and a bachelor's degree in English for speakers of other languages from Salisbury University

  • Proposed policies on part-time and full-time non-tenure track instructional faculty

  • USM institutional policies on technology fluency

  • Shared governance plan for the University of Maryland, Baltimore
