Regents' Technology Committee to Meet January 31 at USM Office
The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents' Committee on
Technology will meet in public session on Thursday, January 31 at 9 a.m. in the
atrium of the USM Office, 3300 Metzerott Road in Adelphi, MD.
The Committee will consider several agenda items, including:
- Review of Digital Divide Initiative plans to use one-time funding to purchase
computers for qualifying students at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore,
Coppin State College, and Bowie State University, the three USM institutions
where the digital divide is most apparent according to a recent Technology
Committee survey
- Strategy for increasing legislative support for the Digital Divide Initiative
- Funding distribution models for the three institutions in the aforementioned
initiative
