Adelphi, Md. (March 20, 2014) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Organization and Compensation will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, March 21. The meeting will be held in the Board Room, 14th floor of the Saratoga Building at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. The building is located at 220 North Arch Street, Baltimore, MD.

The committee will vote in public session on whether to eliminate the standing committee on Effectiveness and Efficiency and continue the board practice of integrating actions and policy discussions on Effectiveness and Efficiency efforts into the agendas of the other standing committees. There will also be a vote on board Policy VII-10.0, the review of contracts for highly compensated personnel.

The committee then will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session. In closed session, the committee would discuss issues specifically exempted in the Open Meetings Act from the requirement for public consideration, including pending litigation by an employee, advice of counsel concerning Open Meetings Act compliance, and a compensation matter.
