USM Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life Meets May 10

Adelphi, Md. (May 6, 2016) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life at its next meeting will vote on two new academic programs and approval of the annual progress report on institutional programs of cultural diversity.

The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10 in the President's Board Room, 14th floor of the Saratoga Office Building at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). The building is located at 220 North Arch Street in Baltimore, Md.

The new academic programs are a M.S. in palliative care at UMB and a B.A. in public policy at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP).

The annual progress report on institutional programs of cultural diversity entails every USM institution and must be submitted by the full board to the Maryland Higher Education Commission by September 1, 2016.

The committee also will hear several information items, including an update on financial aid recommendations first established from a planning group in 2014. The full agenda with supporting materials can be found here.
