USM Regents Advancement Committee Meets February 8
Adelphi,
Md. (Feb. 6, 2017) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of
Regents Advancement Committee will meet at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8. The
meeting will be held in the Chancellor's Conference Room in the
Elkins Building at the USM headquarters, 3300 Metzerott Road, Adelphi, MD.
The
committee will hear an information item from veteran advancement professional
Bill McGoldrick, who has consulted with leading universities in the United
States, United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, and Australia.
The
committee also will vote on a review of two Board of Regents policies: Policy
on Private Fundraising and Stewardship (IX-3.00) and Policy on Ethical
Practices in Charitable Giving (IX-5.00).
The committee
then will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss items that
fall under the closing guidelines of the Open Meetings Act. Those items are
considerations of requests by two institutions to name buildings after
