USM Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life Meets May 15

Adelphi, Md. (May 11, 2018) – The University System Board of Regents (BOR) Committee on Education Policy and Student Life at its next meeting will vote on four new academic programs and hear several information items.

The meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15 in the University Union at Towson University.

The new academic programs are a master of medical science at Frostburg State University; a M.S. degree in actuarial science and predictive analytics and a M.S. degree in transformational educational leadership, both at Towson University; and a doctor of business administration at University of Maryland University College.

The committee will vote on accepting a report of the Regents’ Workgroup on Civic Education and Civic Engagement. Information items before the committee include an update on the William E. Kirwan Center for Academic Innovation.
