USM Board of Regents to Hold Special Meetings on May 31

Baltimore, MD (May 31, 2019) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will hold special meetings today (Friday, May 31). Public access to the meetings will be at the Chancellor's Conference Room in the Elkins Building of the USM Office at 3300 Metzerott Road, Adelphi, MD.

At 1:30 p.m., chair Linda Gooden will read brief remarks. Regents who serve on the board as officers and committee chairs will then vote publicly on whether to reconvene the meeting in closed session to discuss the administrative matters concerning the board’s response to Governor Hogan’s request for an investigation of the University of Maryland, College Park’s (UMCP) handling of the adenovirus matter as well as legal issues related to the matter.

At 4 p.m., the full board will meet to vote publicly on whether to reconvene its meeting in closed session to discuss the topics referenced above.

(It is anticipated that most regents will participate in the meetings via conference call.)
