USM Board of Regents to Hold Special Meeting on August 7
Baltimore, Md. (Aug. 5, 2019) -- The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7. The meeting will be held at the USM Baltimore Columbus Center, 701 E. Pratt St, Baltimore, MD, in the 1st floor conference room.
In public session, the board will receive updates on implementation of legislative actions and the Association of Governing Boards (AGB) implementation plan. The board also will be updated on chancellor and presidents’ searches.
The board will then vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss matters exempted from the Open Meetings Act requirements. The reasons for closing are to discuss administrative matters concerning assignment of regents for legislative visits and to maintain attorney-client privilege with respect to legal advice of counsel relating to personnel matters and potential and pending litigation.
