USM Board of Regents Meets Wednesday, July 22
Baltimore, Md. (July 21, 2020) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will hold a special meeting at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22. Access to the public session is via the following dial-in information:

Public session items include an update from USM Chancellor Jay A. Perman and information items on return-to-campus planning and the USM budget. Board chair Linda Gooden will discuss a board symposium on diversity and inclusion.
The board will vote on whether to reconvene its meeting via conference call in closed session to discuss items exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act.
The reasons for closing are to handle an administrative matter regarding board committee assignments for 2020-21; to discuss privileged information regarding a future budget request; to handle administrative and personnel matters regarding succession planning with respect to specific presidents; and to handle an administrative matter on USM communications strategies with internal and external stakeholders regarding COVID-19.
