USM Board of Regents Meets 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 26
Baltimore, Md. (Aug. 26, 2020) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will hold a special meeting at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26. Access to the public session is via the following dial-in information:

Public session items include updates from USM Chancellor Jay A. Perman and an information item regarding the USM initiative, “Toward Racial Equality and Justice: Building Our USM Community,” presented by Chancellor Perman and board chair Linda R. Gooden.
The board will vote on whether to reconvene its meeting via conference call in closed session to discuss items exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act.
The reasons for closing are to handle administrative matters involving approval of a search committee for a USM president; and an update from staff regarding a process for understanding the financial impact of COVID-19 and efforts to address its fiscal impact; and to discuss with staff and counsel potential COVID-19-related litigation.
