USM Board of Regents Meets on Friday, April 29
Baltimore, Md. (April 27, 2022) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will meet at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 29.
The meeting will be held in Ballroom D (302D) of the University Union at Towson University.

Members of the public who wish to comment during the public comment period of the meeting are asked to email their comments in advance of the meeting to the following email address: regents@usmd.edu.
The board will recognize the 17 winners of the 2022 Regents Faculty Awards. (During a special breakfast reception before the public session, the board will honor each winner individually.)
The board then will hold an educational forum, “Collegiate Mental Health Trends and Innovations,” presented by Dr. Chetan Joshi, director of the counseling center at the University of Maryland, College Park.
The board will vote on several agenda items, including the fiscal year (FY) 2023 schedule of tuition and mandatory fees and self-support charges and fees for FY 2023. Other voting items are a proposed amendment to the policy on holiday leave, a new policy regarding out-of-state work for employees, a real property acquisition by gift to Frostburg State University, and USM enrollment projections for 2022-23.
The final item of the public session will be a board vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss items exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act. These items include various personnel matters, a collective bargaining memorandum of understanding; awarding of new contracts (a student health insurance plan, management of dental student clinics; traffic data and associated products); and consideration of a request by an institution to name a building after an individual.
