Three USM Board of Regents Committees to Meet on October 26
Baltimore, Md. (Oct. 24, 2022) – Three committees of the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
The USM Board of Regents Committee on Governance and Compensation will meet at 8:30 a.m. Access to the meeting is via the following dial-in information:

The committee will vote on approval of minutes of the open and closed sessions of its Sept. 7 meeting and on revisions to the USM Policy on Associates of the Chancellor and Presidents. The committee then will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss items exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act. Those items are an update on status of collective bargaining at USM institutions; discussion of an administrative matter pertaining to Board of Regents survey results; discussion of USM presidents’ moving expenses; and an update on certain personnel contracts and employment agreements.

The committee will vote on the Coppin State University facilities master plan, a proposed amendment to the USM Policy on Facilities Renewal for Auxiliary and Non-Auxiliary Capital Assets, and the lease of a building to the Kennedy Krieger Institute. The committee will hear two information items: the fall 2022 enrollment update and the report on fiscal year 2022 procurement contracts.
The committee will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss items exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act. Those items are the award of a new contract for marketing and advertising services and consideration of the investment of the USM Common Trust Fund.

The committee will hear information items regarding goals and focus for the USM Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development.
