USM Board of Regents Meets on Friday, November 11

Baltimore, Md. (Nov. 9, 2022) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11.

The board will convene at the SMART Building (Building III) at the University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland (USMSM) in California, Md. The meeting can be accessed via livestream at this link: https://www.usmd.edu/regents/meetings/livestream.

The board will hold an educational forum, “Transfer for Success,” presented by USM Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Joann Boughman.

The board will vote on several action items, will hear reports from the councils of university system presidents, faculty, staff, and students, and will receive a brief update regarding fall 2022 enrollment.

Members of the public who wish to comment during the public comment period of the meeting are asked to email their comments in advance of the meeting to the following email address: regents@usmd.edu.

The final item of the public session will be a vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss items exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act. Exempted items include awarding of a new contract for marketing and advertising services; investment of the USM Common Trust Fund; meetings with two presidents as part of their performance reviews; discussion regarding reimbursement of presidents’ moving expenses; an update on pending litigation and discussion of Board of Regents self-assessment.
