USM Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life Meets March 14

Baltimore, Md. (March 10, 2022) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life will hold its next scheduled meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14.

The committee will vote on several academic program proposals. Those program proposals are at Frostburg State University (B.S. Environmental Science); Towson University (Ph.D. in Autism Studies, Ph.D. in Business Analytics); and the University of Baltimore (M.S. Counseling Psychology, M.S. Industrial and Organizational Psychology).

The committee also will hear three information items. Those are a report and panel on campus safety and security, an update on civic education and civic engagement in the USM, and a discussion of regional higher education centers as innovation hubs.

There will be a vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss an item exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act. That item is a discussion of recommendations for the Board of Regents Student Excellence Scholarships.
