USM Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life Meets May 11

Baltimore, Md. (May 9, 2023) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Education Policy and Student Life will hold its next scheduled meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 11.

The committee will vote on several academic program proposals. Those program proposals are at Bowie State University (Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision); Coppin State University (Joint Master of Social Work/Doctor of Social Work); Towson University (M.A. in Communication and Advocacy); and University of Maryland Global Campus (M.S. in Clinical Professional Counseling).

The committee also will hear several information items. Those items are the 2023 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion reports from all USM institutions; a discussion of regional higher education centers as innovation hubs; an update on Pre-K through 20 initiatives; and five-year enrollment reviews for new programs, fall 2018 through fall 2022.
