USM Board of Regents Committee on Audit Meets June 9
Baltimore, Md. (June 7, 2023) – The University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents Committee on Audit will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 9.

In public session, the committee will discuss several information items. These items include the CliftonLarsenAllen LLP update regarding the audit approach for fiscal year 2024; single audit terminology; an update from the enterprise risk and crisis management work group; Office of Legislative Audit activity and published reports; and follow-up of action from previous meetings. The committee also will hear an update on the Maryland Global Initiatives Corporation at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
As its final item during the public session, the committee will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session. In closed session, the committee would consider items exempted in the Open Meetings Act from the requirement for public consideration.
Those items include a recurring report on legal matters; an update of USM’s IT security environment; legislative audit matters that are ongoing and, therefore, confidential; criminal prosecution or legal action; an update of the calendar year 2023 internal audit plan; and committee members meeting separately with independent auditors.
